Elite races return this year to the same scenic course used for the Masters Race: a 28 mi. hilly out-and-back to Pt. Sal, with a relatively flat 8 mi. runway loop and 1.3 mi. start/finish leg.

No pre-riding the course! No littering anywhere on Vandenberg Airforce Base!

Championship races are open to USCF riders in all of CA & NV, div. III trade team members may enter Sun. only. Follow vehicles are only guaranteed for championship races on Sunday. On Saturday we will do aour best to accomodate the bigger races. Promoter reserves right to alter courses/distances/times and/or combine races, as required. Bring spare wheels. There is a feed zone on the course. Do NOT litter anywhere on VAFB! This will be strictly enforced with DQ/penalties for riders/teams at the discretion of the Chief Referee.

**Non-Championship Races are open to all USCF licensed riders. One-day licenses available for Elite 5 & Women 4 only.

Full showers, restrooms, and sauna facilities are available at the Start/Finish! Bring your own towel, help keep the facilities clean, and please respect regular users of this facility. Remember - NO CLEATS ARE ALLOWED in VAFB Fitness Center!

REGISTRATION & RELEASE FORMS - Base Security measures require you to pre-register! No race day entries. Enter online at Active.com for Masters & Elite - please printout required releases and bring on race day. To register by mail: Send a stamped ’06 USCF release form for each race, one VAFB release form and check payable to: Team Tailwinds, 1015 E. Fesler, Santa Maria, CA 93454. Mailed entries must be received by Mon. June 12th! Registration opens both days at 7:00 am. All participants must exit VAFB by 4 pm daily. IMPORTANT NOTE - FULL NAME, ADDRESS, & D.O.B OF ALL FAMILY/FRIENDS WHO WILL ATTEND MUST BE SUBMITTED WITH ENTRY. No one will be admitted to VAFB if they are not on the list we submit to Base Security Forces. Photo ID’s will be checked at gate, do not forget them! Windshield placards to expedite base entry will be issued to registrants. Valid car registration and proof of insurance may be requested. Please arrive early enough to allow for probable lines at base entrance. Please be respectful to and obey all Security Forces personnel, they are our hosts and we are their guests! Registration - opens both days at 7:00AM. All participants must exit VAFB by 4pm daily. No Federal endorsement of the event or it’s sponsor is intended.

DIRECTIONS – Enter VAFB Main Gate, located on Hwy. 1, approximately 12 mi. N. of Lompoc, between Santa Maria and Lompoc. After the state flags, bear left at the missile and continue to VAFB Fitness Center, on right @ California Blvd & Washington Ave.

Champion’s jerseys from Voler and top 3 medals from the USCF will be awarded in all CHAMPIONSHIP categories on both days to SCNCA riders only.
Total elevation gain per lap ~2,000 ft.
