Wednesday" Slow Cooker" (Rides resume upon start of Daylight Savings)
Meet at Target Center Parking lot and Miller Street at 6 PM for a
"slow-cooker" ride from 20 - 35 miles. Steady paced and regrouping
along the way. Groups also leave Main Street Cycles and Bike Barn at
5:50 and meet up with those at Target Center. And, people meet up with
us along Betteravia, east of Highway 101 shortly after 6 pm. Any way
you want to go, it is a great mid-week ride.
Thursday Hammer Ride
The weekly hammer ride is a great tough ride that leaves main Street Cycles every Thursday at 6 PM. A critical component of this ride is that there are two groups. This is an “A” group made of those who are racing or in race condition that want a tough race paced ride that includes attacks, chases and plenty of savvy race tactics. Whenever possible we also have a B group - see below.
Thursday Hammer Ride Killer “B”
The other group is the “Killer B” group. The “B” group ride places an emphasis on group riding skills. The ride is still fast but there are no attacks and no one will get stranded out in the middle of nowhere. So if you are a fairly strong rider, would like to do a fast ride and work on your group riding skills or you are a racer who just needs a break from the “A” ride come out Thursday night for the Hammer ride and be a Killer “B”.
NON -TRAINING RIDE SCHEDULE
Weekly Brewery Ride - Thursdays
This is a fun mountain bike ride that goes from city streets to a great little single track and across the river bed to the Santa Maria Brewery. There are several ways for you to participate. You can start the ride from two different location or just meet us at the brewery at 6:30 PM. If you are going to ride meet at Rick and Nancy Jo's house at 551 Amber Lane at 5:30 PM or at the Suey Crossing bridge at 6:00 PM. This is a night time single track ride so you will need lights suitable for that purpose. Any questions contact Rick
or Nancy Jo at 928-8260. If you don't have lights, or the inclination
to ride to the brewery, just drive it.
